Drees & Sommer UK have three schemes nominated for RICS Awards 2019

RICS has released its regional shortlists for the 2019 Awards. We are delighted to have three schemes make the shortlist.

“The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. They celebrate the achievements and successes of RICS professionals and their impact on local communities.”

Maes y Dderwen, an extra-care facility in Wrexham, and the new Conwy Council offices are in contention for the best building in Wales while the Maples in Kirkby, a further 170 unit extra care facility, has been shortlisted for the North West region.

Zara Crosbie of Drees & Sommer UK, and the wider team from Lane End Developments, Liverpool Mutual Homes and Paddock Johnson Architects met the RICS judges when they recently visited the Maples.

On all the schemes our RICS chartered professionals have acted as Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager and Employer’s Agent. It is a privilege for their achievements to be recognised by their Royal Charter and peers.

The ceremony

This year’s Wales awards ceremony will take place at The Exchange Hotel, Cardiff on May 1. The North West awards at the Principal Hotel, Manchester on May 10.
