Community
On Friday 9th November a team of nine from the Manchester office took part in the biggest Manchester sleepout ever, raising an amazing £5,774.00 for the Booth Centre.
The Booth Centre works to achieve a “home for everyone,” the monies raised will continue to support the activities programme offered by the centre which includes arts, employment skills training, support and advice as well as hot showers and nutritious meals.
After an inspiring and moving welcome, which included a rendition of Neesun Dorma from Streetlive Opera. The team bedded down in the grounds of Manchester cathedral in the cold and rain, to highlight the hardships faced by many homeless people.
In total the event has raised over £100,000, a figure which will undoubtedly continue to rise after the event.
