New affordable homes development gets planning approval in Manchester for our client Jigsaw Homes.
Projects
We are pleased to share that a total of 24 affordable homes are set to be built in Ardwick, Manchester after plans were given the go ahead by Manchester City Council.
Our long-term client, Jigsaw Homes Group, acquired the vacant site located at the junction of Devonshire Street and Coverdale Crescent.
Funding for the development comes from Homes England and the Department for Levelling Up, Homes and Communities. The homes, which will be available for social rent, will be allocated by Manchester City Council to meet local housing need as part of the Single Homeless Accommodation Programme (SHAP); a scheme designed to support those at risk of homelessness to go on to live independently.
The development will be built over two floors, with the addition of an office and two meeting rooms which future residents will be able to use. Thoughtfully designed, modern and sustainable, this scheme will provide homes that offer high levels of energy efficiency to ensure low running costs for residents.
Our team are providing employers agent, cost management and principal designer support.
Work on the scheme is expected to complete in August 2025.
