Succession and Expansion Plans

Drees & Sommer UK is introducing exciting changes in the management structure of the business to facilitate succession within the company. As of this week Paul Allen, former Managing Director and founder of the business, will pass the reins to Kenneth Wood who joins from Sweetts. Kenneth, previously a Director at Sweetts, will now assume the position of Managing Director allowing Paul to move across into the position of Chairman.

Kenneth brings with him a wealth of excellent leadership experience and has a remit to further develop the brand and to continue the growth of this successful SME. The move will allow the company to remain as an owner-managed business and is part of a succession plan that will enable a wider number of the company’s Directors to become owners in the business.

As Managing Director, Kenneth will have responsibility for strengthening the company’s national coverage and consolidating their regional office base, along with diversifying the service and sector offer in line with market demands.

This new structure will allow the company to progress and strengthen its market share as a strong independent consultancy where clients can deal with the owners of the business, bucking the trend of a more corporate offer that has arisen from the numerous recent takeovers.
