We hand over 18 affordable energy efficient homes with Clwyd Alyn in Phase 1 of their Innovative Housing scheme.

Our affordable housing team have recently completed a hand over on 18 affordable homes for our long-term client Clwyd Alyn in Phase 1 of their Innovative Housing scheme. The scheme sees the partnership of Clwyd Alyn, Welsh Government, Denbighshire County Council and Williams Homes (Bala) Ltd.

Constructed with Welsh timber frame by specialised contractor William Homes, produced in collaboration with HMPB, as well as the implementation of Air Source Heat Pumps these homes are designed to be super energy efficient. The homes have triple glazed windows, passive ventilation systems, as well as in roof PV systems installed.

The energy efficiency doesn’t stop there- this innovative scheme also used recycled single use plastic tarmac and wood fibre enveloped insulation with the finishing touch being locally sourced and milled timber cladding.
