Barnsley Schools
Drees & Sommer were commissioned to deliver condition surveys and produce new lifecycle models for Barnsley BSF schools by the PFI Project Company. The works included full asset capture and verification of all assets on site, along with condition assessment of all assets present.
Following this, our experts produced new lifecycle models for the remaining concession of the PFI agreement allowing the Project Co to forecast and procure their lifecycle works more accurately.
The Project Co adopted the new lifecycle forecasts for use and have since improved management of the lifecycle funds within the schemes. The work prepared by Drees & Sommer allowed Project Co to better understand the adequacy of the lifecycle funds and to deliver lifecycle works in a more efficient and effective way, as well improving the planning and presentation of works proposed to the schools.
