The team are providing both Project Management and Quantity Surveying services on behalf of DHL Construction & Real Estate, on a new €47 million parcel terminal and office HUB facility at Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen, Denmark. The project will have a major impact on how quickly DHL Express can handle, deliver, and forward shipments.
The facility, comprising of 26,000 m2 and an associated parking deck of 7,500 m2, is being built inside the airport area for handling incoming and outgoing air freight. With a focus on sustainability, solar cells will be mounted on the roof, rainwater will be recycled, and the facility will be both heated and cooled with ground source heat pumps.
In addition to a large terminal and loading and unloading hall, the facility will also contain three larger office units and a workshop.
Our Industrial and Logistics specialists have also supported DHL by providing cost management and project management on the £90 million expansion of their East Midlands Airport, increasing the HUB’s capabilities by supporting UK businesses shipping internationally.
