Drees & Sommer provided Strategic Estates Support for the Partnership, including the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. We provided a number of roles including programme management of the strategic estates programme, and the undertaking of Locality Asset Reviews (LARs) across a number of the Localities across Greater Manchester.
We have supported the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership with strategic estates management support to help them find opportunities and efficiencies across the devolved administration’s localities.
We engaged with several stakeholders as part of a One Public Estate approach, including, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the contributing local authorities, and NHS partner organisations.
Utilising NHS Estates & Technology Transformation Fund and One Public Estate funding we were commissioned to complete an estates review. We delivered Locality Asset Reviews for Manchester, Rochdale, Wigan, Bolton, and Salford in addition to providing programme management support to oversee and ensure consistent delivery of all 10 localities. Each review follows the same overall method, however generates bespoke findings focused on the need within the locality, rather than taking a generic approach.
We were subsequently commissioned to produce an and provide a Greater Manchester-wide view; this review took into account cross-boundary effects. Each opportunity identified in the review is measured and prioritised against the agreed objectives to enable effective benefits realisation and follow through to further feasibility and funding applications. We worked with the stakeholders to establish the overall and locality specific objectives.
