As one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, the estate spans six key sites across Greater Manchester. We have been supporting the organisation with a breath of strategic support and technical advisory services.
We have led a PMO function to support the Trust’s Estates and Facilities Management teams and provide full technical support for capital programme schemes across the portfolio, including management of energy and infrastructure upgrades, including feasibility studies for a new energy centre.
We have also provided cost management on key Emergency Department expansions, including the £56m MRI and the £32m paediatric ED.
We have helped update the Estates and Facilities Strategy that aligns the strategies across all acute sites and helped act as a single uniform strategy for the growing estate, including the incorporation of the North Manchester General Hospital into the Trust.
We have supported on internal estates decision making, formalising moves, and managing the process through to the agreement of leases. We have helped update the asset management systems with data and lease information, and co-ordinated appointments of legal and survey teams.
Our H&S team have provided strategic CDM 2015 support, sharing relevant best practice from our experience with other Trust clients, that has led to Principal Designer responsibilities in project delivery.
